Subjects

English

If English is a struggle, every subject that needs reading and writing gets harder too. We find the gaps in reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar, then fill them, in a group of no more than six.

Maths

Confidence is the key to getting better at Maths. Lots of children stop trying a question because they are afraid of being wrong. In our lessons a mistake is something to learn from, and we teach why a method works, not tricks to remember.

Science

Science asks students to know the facts and then use them: in calculations, with data, in practical questions. Our lessons do both, in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, in a group of no more than six.

How the groups work

A small group lets the tutor plan around each child while they still learn from each other. Students are matched by year group, and at GCSE by tier and target grade, so the pace suits everyone in the room.

We use whatever school has told you alongside our own assessment, and if school flags a topic mid-term we change the plan to cover it. You get regular feedback on progress, strengths and what to work on next.

One-to-one lessons are sometimes available, mainly for specialist dyslexia teaching.

“A fabulous centre of excellence across all subjects, my son has benefited immensely from the small group tuition and has grown so much in confidence. Richard and Emma are amazing tutors and I cannot thank them enough for their patience and support.”

Your child comes in for an hour, meets their tutor and does some relaxed work so we can see where they are. No fees are due until after it, and you decide afterwards whether to carry on.
